How it happend?

In 1992, Victor, The CEO of Laybond today, was employed with a FRP tank manufacturing company in Chennai, India. He had a burning desire in him to become an entrepreneur. In 1994, He quit his job to start the journey, which is most popularly known today in the FRP industry as Laybond Pipings & Equipments. Victor, along with one FRP technician, started the manufacturing of FRP tanks in a rented Shed in Ambattur Industrial Area, Chennai, India. With promising business and steady growth, a new FRP tank manufacturing facility was required and built on a 3200 Sq.ft property in 2003 in Ambattur SIDCO Industrial Estate, Chennai, India.

Vision

With sales expansion & rapid growth for 23 years, Victor had a desire to shift his FRP industry to his home town to create employment opportunity to under privileged youths in and around his Rural District, Pudukkottai. Eventually, in 2009 Laybond Pipings & Equipments, was relocated to its new facility in SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Pudukkottai, South India which has been allotted by Government of Tamil Nadu, India. It operates on 8,000 square feet of manufacturing space located on more than one acre of land. Today Laybond Pipings & Equipments, employs more than 50 people and continues to excel in customer satisfaction and also trains FRP Skills to under privileged youths in and around Pudukkottai.

Laybond manufactures a wide variety of contact moulded tanks using state of the art equipment and technology. Capacity ranges from 1 m3 to 300 m3for a number of applications, including chemical processing, food processing, iron and steel, waste water treatment, metal finishing, bulk storage and pharmaceutical, etc. Generally Tanks up to 50 m3 capacity are manufactured at its factory and beyond that are made at customer's site. It features cone bottom, dish bottom, flat bottom, slope bottom, horizontal and Vertical tanks designed and built to some of the most rigorous standards in the business. Standard specifications such as BS 4994-1987, ASTM-D-3299 and D-4097, plus ASME RTP-1 design by rules, upon request.
